Paul Jornet

First Sergeant Paul Jornet is the Senior Marine Instructor of the Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps in Fitchburg, Massachusetts a position he has held since his retirement from active service in 2004.

First Sergeant Jornet is a native of Queens, New York and a 23 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Over his 23 year career First Sergeant Jornet saw postings throughout the world. As an infantryman, Jornet served in every position from fire team leader to platoon commander. First Sergeant has served as a Marine Corps Drill Instructor at Parris Island, a Marine Recruiter in Martinsburg, WV and as a Company First Sergeant at Marine Corps Officer Candidates School in Quantico, VA. First Sergeant Jornet has also served with the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory and with the Marine Corps Special Purpose (X) Marine Air Ground Task Force. First Sergeant Jornet’s expertise is in infantry, force protection, mountain warfare and, mechanized reconnaissance.
First Sergeant’s combat experiences includes several tours to Beirut Lebanon, the invasion of Grenada, Desert Shield and, Desert Storm.

First Sergeant Jornet has testified on behalf of the United States Marine Corps before the 105 & 106 Congress, giving testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee and the House Veterans Affairs Sub Committee.

First Sergeant Jornet has been married for 26 years to the former Celia Reichl of Mount Vernon, NY.

First Sergeant’s military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with gold star, Navy Achievement Medal with four gold stars, Combat Action Ribbon with two gold stars, Navy Unit Commendation with three bronze stars, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal one silver and 1 bronze stars, Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal with two bronze stars, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with two bronze stars, Humanitarian Service Medal, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with four bronze stars,  Recruiter Ribbon, Drill Instructor Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal (SA), Kuwait Liberation Medal (K).
